Born and raised in Hawaii on the Island of Oahu. Robert is of Hawaiian, Irish ethnicity and was adopted to a family of 16 siblings, 8 brothers and 7 sisters to Richard & Lillian Coburn. While in his youth he lived in a wonderful small village called Laie on the North Shore of Oahu. He loved living below the beautiful lush mountains of Laie and the white sands & crystal clear blue waters of Hukilau bay. He graduated from Kahuku High School and later went to college at BYU-Hawaii. While at BYU he worked at the Polynesian Cultural Center in Laie. Being raised with many ethnic cultures, Robert had grown to love Hawaii and the people and is proud to say that he is a native Hawaiian. With Hawaii being a wonderful ethnic melting pot, Robert has learned from the many people of the Polynesian Islands and his kupuna’s (elders) of Laie Town. And through his family & friends and Kapuna’s of Laie Town, his gratitude go out to them for making him who he is today. The love for not just Hawaiian people, but all ethnicity’s, Hawaiian music, food, and Hawaiian culture. "I guess I am everything Hawaiian style", says Robert. That’s where the name "The Stylin Hawaiian" came from. Robert shares his upbeat and fun personality with Hawaiian & islands music, talk story & news. Spreading Aloha to the 4 corners of the earth, and over the 7 seas.
